Newspaper articles about our tour adventures
Südanzeiger (City: Essen), Saturday, 09.08.2008As we both live in Essen our neighbours should know why we are away for so long or have so many strange international fan guests and nightly phone calls. And, guess what, we've got the frontpage, the first frontpage of our lives! Front Page
Article
Berliner Woche (City: Berlin-Weißensee), Wednesday, 20.08.2008Half of the month I am in Berlin. Not all my neighbours already know something about my addiction. They only know about loud music during the weekend - but they should be prepared for 2009 and for the international fan guests coming to Berlin.
Westdeutsche Zeitung (City: Wuppertal/Velbert-Neviges), Thursday, 21.08.2008There is a long-term relationship with this local newspaper. They already published an article about my collection in 1998 and about my writing books and my former theatre group in my then hometown Velbert-Neviges. Therefore, the people of my 20K inhabitants village should be informed about my travelling around the world. Don't you agree?
Neue Ruhr Zeitung (City: Essen), Tuesday, 07.10.2008Finally, it was necessary to leave the city limits of Essen and to inform the whole Ruhe Area and its four million inhabitants that we are rolling on the river.
Kölnische Rundschau (City: Kön), Tuesday, 13.01.2009Suddenly, something magical happened when I got an email from a reporter of the Kölnische Rundschau who asked me whether we would be in Cologne and if it is possible to make a little interview about the tour and our adventures. As I was in Berlin at that time and Lars in Essen, I could only propose to meet in Cologne because we wanted to sneek around a little bit at the area out of curiosity. As she wanted to publish the article very soon it was only possible to make a phone interview which happened finally in the tram from my work in Berlin to Alexanderplatz.
This article broke a record resp. shot us into a new hemisphere because it was the first time we got the Google News Alert for Tina Turner with an article about ourselves and the Queen herself. Below, there are several proofs.
Westdeutsche Zeitung (City: Wuppertal/Velbert-Neviges), 16.01.2009The Westdeutsche Zeitung called in while I was working in the office. I did not even asked about the reason for the called but expected them to be interested in our opinion about the concerts. Therefore, I immediately started praising Tina Turner, her energy, the show and everything. And indeed, they combined the Marco/Tina-photo with a nice article about us and the tour..
We had prepared this "Hottest Granny on Earth"-banner which Tina liked very much. Well, we did not know whether she liked it or not but she was always pointing to it when she saw standing in the first rows. As you can see Marcin on the videoscreen (Lars and me were too fascinated by the first show) holding the banner on the first night during "Nutbush City Limits" it was mentioned in many newspaper articles.
